This study examines the career opportunities available to adult education graduates in Enugu State, Nigeria. It explores public awareness of the discipline, the job potentials of graduates, and employers’ recognition of their qualifications. The research also evaluates how enthusiastically adults are embracing the program to advance their careers. Data were collected from four groups: employers, adult educators, undergraduates, and graduates of adult education, using questionnaires and analyzed with the chi-square statistical method. Findings indicate that while many employers and the public are aware of the capabilities of adult education graduates, the graduates themselves often lack awareness of job opportunities outside teaching. Additionally, there is strong enthusiasm among adults to embrace this program, demonstrating its relevance and appeal. However, gaps remain in creating widespread awareness of these career potentials and ensuring employers fully utilize the skills of adult education graduates. The study recommends that the National Universities Commission for Adult Education (NUCAE) should take a proactive role in creating awareness about career options for adult education graduates. Furthermore, organizations are encouraged to provide specialized training for staff to enhance their employability and career development. These measures will position adult education as a vital tool for personal and societal growth.
