This study investigates the impact of effective building production management on the successful delivery of building projects in Awka, Anambra State. The increasing complexity of construction projects necessitates proficient management strategies that align client expectations with project delivery capabilities. A structured questionnaire was employed to collect data from building production management professionals, yielding 30 responses from a total of 40 distributed. The analysis utilized frequency counts and weighted means (Likert scale) to address three primary research questions. The findings reveal a strong correlation between effective production management practices and project success in terms of time, cost, and quality parameters. Key factors, including communication between clients and designers, accurate interpretation of designs by constructors, and adherence to management protocols, were identified as critical drivers of project efficiency. The study highlights the importance of integrating modern techniques and practices into production management to enhance the overall value delivered to clients while ensuring profitability within the industry. Recommendations include adopting comprehensive production management documentation and fostering collaborative relationships throughout the building process. This research serves as a significant resource for construction professionals and aims to foster an environment of continuous improvement in project delivery outcomes in Nigeria’s dynamic construction landscape.
