This study investigates the impact of rewards on organizational profitability and employee performance, with a focus on Emenite Ltd in Emene, Enugu State. By employing a survey research design, the study aims to identify how various types of rewards influence employee satisfaction and, subsequently, the overall performance of the organization. The research involved a participant sample of 92 employees selected through simple random sampling techniques, ensuring a representative cross-section of the workforce. Data collection methods included primary interviews and questionnaires, complemented by secondary sources for a comprehensive analysis. Findings highlight significant challenges within the organization, such as poor motivation, inadequate fringe benefits, below-par salary structures, and overall inefficiency impacting staff performance and company profitability. The study reveals that effective reward systems, which recognize both intrinsic and extrinsic factors, are crucial for enhancing employee motivation and productivity. Recommendations include implementing structured reward systems that emphasize employee rights and privileges and fostering a culture of management by objectives. By addressing these gaps, organizations like Emenite Ltd can enhance their operational efficiency, drive profitability, and cultivate a motivated workforce committed to the company’s success.
